The J.R.R. Tolkien Suite

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, was an English writer, poet, philologist, and university professor, best known as the author of the classic high fantasy works The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion. He lived parts of his life in and around Birmingham and even lodged whilst at King Edwards School Birmingham, in Highfield Road a mere stone's throw from The Conservatory. There are seven blue plaques commemorating places in England associated with Tolkien, of which, Birmingham has four.
